Bert Cunningham
Mr. Cunningham began teaching in 1992. Mr. Cunningham has developed and oversees the Pre-school, Elementary, Young Adult and Adult curriculums and classes here at Family Martial Arts of Pelham. He has a definite passion for helping people learn, succeed and apply the many benefits of the martial arts and fitness to their everyday lives! He welcomes everyone who comes into the karate school with a warm smile and a big hello.
His credentials and background include:
- Martial Arts Instructor-Since 1992
- 7th degree Black belt in Shaolin Kenpo Karate
- 4th Degree Black Belt in Uechi-Ryu Karate.
- Holds the title of "Jun-Shihan" (Instructor) with the Uechi-Ryu Butokukai.
- Child Advocate (CASA) since 2019.
Mr. Cunningham has been married to his wife Heather, for twenty-eight years and have four children (all of whom have studied the martial arts). Mr. Cunningham and his wife also have three grandchildren!
